About Serene Minds
What we do
Serene Minds Clinic provides specialist psychiatric care. A psychiatrist is a medical specialist who is an expert in mental health. Psychiatrists have a deep understanding of mental and physical health and their interaction. We make a diagnosis and work with you to develop a management plan for your treatment and recovery. Through this clinic, we provide and recommend a range of treatments, including psychological treatments and medications. We will only suggest treatments that are proven to be safe and effective.
We will explain
- Why we recommend the treatment
- How it works
- The side-effects and any risks from the treatment
We can also
- Refer you to appropriate services for immediate, urgent, and non-urgent care as required
- Provide advice about lifestyle changes
- Work with you individually, or with your partner, family, or carers
- Provide second opinions and advice to other health professionals
Services
We work with you to determine the underlying issues and develop a tailored plan for your treatment and recovery.
Payment & Medicare Rebate
To make your experience smooth, we kindly ask that consultation fees be paid in full beforehand. If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate, please ensure you have a valid GP referral addressed to Serene Minds Clinic or Dr Sujatha Kalava. Rebate amounts vary depending on the length of your appointment. We accept Visa and MasterCard, and having your bank details up to date with Medicare will allow rebates to be reimbursed directly to you. We’re here to make the process simple and straightforward so you can focus on your wellbeing.

If you’re thinking about getting assessed for ADHD, know that it’s a process — but it’s one that can give you real clarity, and a plan that’s tailored just for you.
Get a boost by thinking positive.
We constantly hear about the perks of positive thinking. Having an optimistic attitude has added health benefits. Your mind is just like the muscles you work out when you exercise and by keeping your mind in good shape you can improve your work and home life. Choosing to look on the bright side of things will help your mind to think of possibilities and solutions to everyday challenges and not always look for the problems you could face.
